Homeless man pushes complete stranger into oncoming traffic, nearly killing him

A heart-stopping crime is caught on camera in Los Angeles. Police say a video shows a homeless man pushing a complete stranger into oncoming traffic before he ends up being pinned by a truck.

Police say the man in the lime green jacket is a transient that frequently roams around the area where the crime happened. The man was sitting in front of a restaurant around 10 a.m. when the victim, believed to be in his 60s, walks by and shoves him into oncoming traffic.

The victim is then hit by a box truck before ending up under the vehicle’s tire. That’s when the suspect begins to pick something up and nonchalantly walks away.

As the suspect remains pinned for at least 10 seconds, a business owner rushes over to his rescue until paramedics arrive.

A manhunt is for the suspect begins several hours later. He’s finally located a few blocks away from the scene around 6:45 p.m. by Los Angeles firefighters.

Police say the suspect is expected to be charged with attempted murder.
