Homeless “Sexually Violent Predator” moves back to Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department reports a man labeled as a “Sexually Violent Predator” has moved back to Colorado Springs.

Jerrell Jamil Evans is a sex offender whose past behavior has led him to be labeled as a “Sexually Violent Predator,” he is currently homeless in the area of Murray Blvd. and Platte Ave.

Evans is described as being a black man, 36-years-old, 6′ tall, 215 lbs, black hair though he has a shaved head right now and hazel eyes.

His criminal history reveals that he was convicted of criminal attempt – second-degree sexual assault in 2001 in El Paso County. He has also been convicted of felony escape in 2007, felony criminal attempt – possession of a schedule II controlled substance in 2001 and felony menacing in 2000.

Evans is the sixteenth “Sexually Violent Predator” registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department who resides in this community.

CSPD says it takes his presence very seriously and is intent on ensuring he conducts himself in a lawful manner.
