Shooting in downtown Denver leaves 1 dead, 4 others injured — all in stable condition

Update: Denver 7 reports, one suspect was arrested Tuesday morning. The suspect is being held for investigation of first-degree murder. The second suspect was one of four people taken to the hospital, he is facing federal weapon charges.

Police say the shooting, which involved an exchange of gunfire between the two suspects, was not random. Denver police say all five victims were males.

Police in Denver are investigating a shooting with multiple reported injuries near the downtown Denver area.

According to our partners at Denver 7, the shooting happened around 4 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 21st and Lawrence streets.

It’s been reported that one victim is dead, and at least four others were taken to the hospital — all said to be in stable condition, according to the Denver Police Department.

Denver 7 has not reported whether any suspects were taken into custody at this time. They also do not know the reasoning behind the shooting.
