Deputies find illegal marijuana grow in Florissant home’s crawl space

The Teller County Sheriff’s Office got an anonymous tip that someone was illegally growing marijuana inside a home in Florissant, and deputies ended up seizing dozens of plants.

Deputies went to 287 Drees Drive based on the tip Saturday. They searched the home and found a crawl space with 61 plants being grown and three ounces of process marijuana, according to a TCSO news release.

One person, 31-year-old Brandon Strausser, was booked into the Teller County Jail for a class-three felony marijuana charge.

TCSO also sent a reminder for residents to know how many marijuana plants you can legally grow inside your home. Check HERE for regulation information.
