Colorado Springs veteran celebrates 99th birthday on Veterans Day

One Colorado Springs veteran is celebrating a little extra on Veterans Day.

Al Mosley is a World War II veteran.

He was drafted into the Army back in 1942 and was on front line duty in Italy during the war.

Mosley stayed in the Army and became a meat cutter, it’s a job he’s very proud of.

“I’ve served many, many, many people, nationality countries I’ve been in,” Mosely said.

On November 11, Mosley celebrated his 99th birthday.

“I’ve had a good life,” Mosely said. “I’ve had a good time. I’ve enjoyed myself. I’ve enjoyed all the people I’ve met.”

His message and his secret to life is work hard and love people.

“I have one saying is – don’t pick ’em and don’t skip ’em – love them all,” Mosely said.

Mosley celebrated with fellow veterans at the VA and with his family.
