Colorado Springs impaired driving arrest record higher than other cities, week of Halloween

An alarming traffic report from The Colorado Department of Transportation shows impaired driving in Colorado Springs could be happening at a higher rate than other cities around the state.

According to the impaired driving report from the week of Halloween 2018, Colorado Springs had the highest number of reported impaired driving cases compared to any other location, including Denver.

There were a total of 39 arrest reports recorded in Colorado Springs from October 26 – November 1, 2018.

Police records show during these dates, at least one pedestrian was hit and killed by a car. That driver is suspected of being on drugs at the time of the crash.
