World’s largest passenger airliner lands in Denver for first time Sunday

It’s another first for the Denver International Airport, the Airbus A380 made its very first landing at DEN Sunday night.

The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger airliner in North America. The Denver International Airport posted pictures of the landing to its official Facebook page.

They captioned the pictures saying, “the aircraft, which diverted to address a medical issue on board, landed and departed on DEN’s longest runway, which also happens to be the longest commercial runway in North America.”

They continued the post saying, they have gates to accommodate aircraft of this size, and are ready to go whenever an airline is ready to begin flying more A380’s in DEN.
