Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Sunny & Dry Weekend Ahead – 10/20/18

Today: The air will be cool this morning, but we’ll warm up nicely again this afternoon with high temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s for the plains, mainly 50s over the mountains. Expect a bit of a breeze out of the south or southeast at times this afternoon, but overall the wind shouldn’t be so strong as to ruin an otherwise comfortable afternoon.

Tonight: The sky will remain clear and the air will get pretty cool with low temperatures in the 30s to near 40.

Extended: Sunday looks to be the warmest of the next several days with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s for the plains, mainly 50s to lower 60s for our local mountain communities. The air will cool slightly on Monday, but we still expect to see plenty of sunshine and remain dry. A weak upper level system will spread clouds and slightly cooler air over the area starting Tuesday. Late Tuesday or Tuesday night we could have scattered showers drifting over the area, and isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain possible on Wednesday. High temperatures as this system passes will probably hover in the 50s for most areas. An isolated shower will be possible over and near the mountains on Thursday, but most areas should stay dry. We should be a little warmer again on Friday with high temperatures back into the 60s to near 70 for the plains. Another cold front looks to slide over the area early next weekend so Saturday looks a little cooler but dry with high temperatures in the 50s for most areas. We should be a little warmer again on Sunday.
