Morning Weather Alert: Bitter cold and slick roads – 10/15/18

TODAY: We start the morning with a weather alert. Travel will be slick in areas that saw a lot of snow yesterday, and everyone will be feeling brutal cold. A hard freeze will be occurring this morning, as our early temps start out in the teens and 20s. Because of this, a freeze warning is in place until 10am when things start to warm up. Lots of sun is expected today which will help to melt some of the snow. Highs will be in the 30s and 40s.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and very cold. Lows will be in the teens over our mountain cities with 20s in the lower elevations.

EXTENDED: Aside from from mid-week mountain snow chances (the Sangres and Wets), we will be staying primarily dry. Sun and scattered clouds are expected most of the week, with a warm up back into the 50s and 60s by Thursday into the first part of the weekend.
