Large snake takes a tumble through ceiling while bank employees conduct meeting

Employees at a south China bank got the surprise of their lives Friday after a huge python suddenly fell from the ceiling of the building during a morning meeting.

Surveillance video of the 1.5-meter-long snake was captured as staff members jump back in caution. After its dramatic fall, the snake quickly scurries off and finds a place to nestle behind one of the bank’s sofas.

Local forest public security officers and workers were called to help bring the snake to safety. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the fiasco and it’s been reported that the bankers were eventually able to return back to business as usual.

Officials say it’s possible the python may have reared by someone nearby and could have been looking for food before it’s tumble. The snake is currently being kept at the city’s wildlife protection center.
