Pueblo Co. deputies make 3rd pot bust in 8 days

A 31-year-old man with ties to Cuba faces cultivation charges after a pot bust in Pueblo West Tuesday.

A citizen report tipped county deputies off to a home in the 1100 block of South Industrial Boulevard. There, investigators say they found more than 100 plants. Colorado law limits only 12 marijuana plants per home. The estimated street value of the grow is $312,000.

Ernesto Noceda-Cuba, 31, was arrested and faces cultivation of marijuana charges.

This is the third bust made by the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office in eight days and the second in Pueblo West involving individuals with ties to Cuba. Deputies say they’ve seized nearly 200 plants and 60 pounds of dried marijuana. They suspect most of it was headed for the black market.
