A bit warmer, but umbrella weather sticks around – 10/2/18
TODAY: Tuesday begins with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Things will stay mainly dry before a few showers and storms develop over the central and southern mountains between 12 and 1PM. These lift off to the east and northeast through the afternoon, so keep the umbrella close by! Highs today will be just slightly warmer in the upper 70s to low 80s. Mountains will feel the upper 60s.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and dry. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s. Our mountain cities will drop to the 40s again.
EXTENDED: The long range forecast looks very active. Wednesday will bring a nice dry day with warm highs in the 70s and 80s. By the evening, showers and storms drop in, and we won’t get rid of the wet weather for a couple of days. Scattered showers and thunder are in the forecast through Friday along will cool highs. We eventually make way for a dry, mostly cloudy and chilly weekend. Monday should bring widespread rain and the chance for central mountain snow. Places in Teller County could even see a rain and snow mix. If the cold air continues to verify through next week, we will likely see our first freeze. We will keep you posted!
