Suspect robs Colorado Springs FirstBank before fleeing on foot

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who robbed a bank near Vindicator Dr. and S. Rockrimmon Blvd. before fleeing on foot Tuesday morning.

The suspect is still on the loose and is described as a heavyset white male wearing glasses. Pictures of the suspect were released on Sept. 25.

Police say the man walked into the FirstBank at about 10:45 a.m., pointed a gun at tellers and demanded cash. He then took off north with an unknown amount of cash, but emergency dispatch traffic indicated it was several thousand dollars.

The robbery is still under investigation.
