Pueblo police searching for suspects in 2 robberies

Police are searching for two men linked to robberies that happened Monday.

The first suspect entered the Subway on West Northern Avenue Monday night and demanded money.

Two employees were working at the time and say the man began yelling “give me the money.” The man left on foot after taking the cash.

He is described as 5’8″ tall with a stalky build, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and a black mask. One of the employees said the suspect had something brown which she described as possibly being the handle of a gun sticking out of the right pocket of his jacket.

The second robbery happened at about 10:20 p.m. at the Loaf ‘N Jug store on W. 17th Street.

A clerk told police that a suspect demanded cigarettes and money while concealing his hand in his sweatshirt, implying that he had a weapon. The money was already in the safe, so the suspect took off on foot toward Francisco Street.

That suspect is described as a light-skinned male standing about 5’6″ and weighing about 150 pounds. He had a grey hooded sweatshirt with a large “3” on the back.

If you have any information about the identity of the suspects or their locations, please call the Pueblo Police Department at (719) 553-2502.

If you want to remain anonymous, contact Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (542-7867) or www.pueblocrimestoppers.com. If your information leads to a felony arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
