Pueblo considered in Top 20 cities for car theft, according to study

When it comes to car theft, where you live can play a huge part in how likely it is to happen to you. According to a study conducted by ASecureLife, car theft is nearly 2.5 times higher than the national average, especially in the Pueblo area.

ASecureLife’s analyst team used recent data from the FBI to determine which metro areas with a population of at least 100,000 people to determine which cities have the highest number of stolen vehicles.

In the top 20 of that list, is Pueblo, Colorado. The Colorado city comes in twelfth with roughly 4.8 number of vehicles being stolen for every 1,000 people.

Coming up at the top of the list are several California cities. Including Oakland, Hayward, and Richmond. To see the full list from ASecureLife click here.

The good news is, there are a lot of things you can do to prevent a car break-in. According to ASecureLife, rolling up your windows, locking the doors, and parking in busy, well-lit places are just a few ways to do this.
