Feeling like fall today – 9/21/18

TODAY: A cold front came through the area overnight, which made for period of breezy skies. It turned our winds to the northeast, too, so that upslope flow and some lingering moisture will make for some areas of low clouds. These will likely be near the southern mountains near Walsenburg and Trinidad. We will also see some here in the Pikes Peak Region. Some of those clouds will produce a bit of drizzle too, so you might want to keep your umbrella close this morning. Clearing takes place by the late morning hours and we are left with sunshine and highs in the 60s and 70s.

TONIGHT: Clear to mostly clear skies with chilly lows in the 40s. Some of our mountain cities and the high country will likely dip into the 30s.

EXTENDED: The weekend looks really nice! Look for mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s and 80s. A few showers and storms are possible by Monday, with cooler highs in the 60s and 70s. Rain, thunder and cooler highs stick around through Tuesday before we clear things out and warm up a bit on Wednesday.
