Showers and cooler highs – 9/20/18

TODAY: Rain and thunder will be pushing from west to east across the viewing area this morning. Some pockets of moderate rain are possible, but most should stay fairly light. We will dry out close to I-25 through the mid morning and the rain chances shift south and east over the plains for the afternoon. Highs today will be much cooler, and will only be topping off in the 60s and 70s. Places out over the plains will feel some 80s today due to a later arrival of shower chances.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and chilly. Overnight lows drop into the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast brings a few more shower and storm chances tomorrow, and even cooler temps in the 60s and 70s. Fall arrives on Saturday and by both that day and Sunday, sunshine and highs in the 70s and 80s will be back. We stay dry until Tuesday and Wednesday when rain and thunder chances move back. This will be acompanied by cooler temps in the 60s and 70s again.
