Weather pattern changes – 9/19/18

TODAY: We begin our Wednesday with a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s to start things out. By this afternoon, highs warm back into the 80s and 90s, with 70s over the mountains. I think we will be close to records in Colorado Springs, but won’t likely set new ones today. Clouds develop by the afternoon and showers and storms also start to POP. The air is pretty dry today, so any kind of moisture reaching the surface will likely just be contained to the mountains. Isolated showers and storms are possible over the lower terrain.

TONIGHT: Showers are still possible at time through tonight. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s over the lower elevations. Mountain cities should dip into the 40s.

EXTENDED: Off and on showers are possible through Friday, along with a cooling trend. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s tomorrow, with 60s and 70s by Friday. Mountain areas on Friday will only be in the 50s! A beautiful, mild weekend is expected. Look for sunshine with highs in the 70s and 80s. A great one to get outside!
