KDVR reports, she was purposely left out of Fletcher Community School on Monday, but the reason is not known.

The family searched for the girl for several hours and when they could not find her, they contacted the police at 4 p.m.

KMGH reports a police spokeswoman said the girl told her family she was leaving.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation joined the search, which has been upgraded to an endangered missing alert.

A police spokeswoman said the FBI will join in the search and law enforcement officers will do a house and road canvasing as well as using drone and K-9 searches.

Foul play is not suspected at this point. The search is being concentrated between East 19th and Colfax Avenues and Peoria and Elmira streets. Police are asking people in the area to check their property and small spaces.
