Marty’s Saturday Morning Forecast – Still Toasty – 9/15/18

Today: We expect the sky to remain mostly sunny; it will be breezy at times this afternoon and very warm again with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the plains, mainly 70s to near 80 for our local mountain areas.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cool with low temperatures in the 50s to near 60 for the plains, 40s and 50s over the mountains.

Extended: We look to remain breezy and very warm with just some passing clouds through Monday with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the plains, mainly 70s over the mountains. We’re tracking a weak cold front that may slide over the plains of eastern Colorado on Tuesday and take the edge off of the heat a little, but we’re uncertain how far south the cooler air will settle and regardless we’ll remain quite warm. We should be breezy and very warm on Wednesday with increasing clouds and a slight chance for spotty, weak showers and thunderstorms mainly over and near the mountains during the afternoon. We’re tracking another surge of cooler air that will kick up the wind again as it starts to move over the area on Thursday, but the coolest air looks to settle over the area on Friday bringing back a slight chance for some showers and thunderstorms to parts of the area. High temperatures on Friday may cool into the 60s and 70s.
