CSPD arrest suspect involved in sexual assault case against an UBER driver

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit arrested a suspect Thursday in connection to a sexual assault crime against an UBER driver on September 10, 2018.

Police have 22-year-old Raydrian Tyree Scott in custody after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault his 63-year-old UBER driver by striking her and biting her several times, causing several injuries.

During the incident, the victim was able to escape her vehicle, however, the woman said the suspect then took her vehicle and fled the scene. The victim was then transported to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

After detectives were able to locate Scott, he was still in possession of the victim’s white 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. Scott was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for multiple charges, including, Attempted Sexual Assault, Second Degree Assault, Robbery, Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
