Isolated storms this weekend – 09/08/18

Tonight: Isolated storms are possible and while we can’t entirely rule out a strong or severe storm, most stay dry. Overnight, lows will tumble to the 50s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Some fog could develop along and east of the I-25 corridor into early Sunday morning. Light showers are possible, too.

Tomorrow: Any low clouds and fog should clear by 9 or 10 a.m., but to be transparent — it’s very tricky forecasting fog. The atmosphere does what it wants! Hopefully sunshine will be prevailing into noon. It will feel a bit chilly if you’re out tomorrow morning between the clouds and temperatures in the 60s, but the 80s are on tap for the area into the afternoon. Sunday afternoon and evening, we have a small chance for spotty storms. One or two could become strong-to-severe — mainly east of the I-25 corridor; however, these storms will primarily stay beneath severe limits.

Extended: Sparse storms are a possibility Monday as well. Beyond that, we’re tracking dry weather for the rest of your seven day forecast! After rather autumnal weather for the last week, we’ll be cranking up the heat into your work week. Temperatures will be about ten degrees above average. Can you believe it? Mother Nature isn’t done providing us with summer-like weather quite yet.
