Colorado Springs police ID victim who died after stabbing

Colorado Springs police have identified the man who was killed in a stabbing attacked last week near Dorchester Park.

Police say 54-year-old Randol Lille of Colorado Springs died in the early morning hours of Aug. 31 after being stabbed in the 200 block of E. Las Vegas Street. CSPD says it’s the 22nd homicide in the city so far this year.

It’s not clear if Lille is the victim of suspect Jimmy Lee Neill, who police identified last week. Police said there were two stabbings in the area, but very few details have been provided by the department.

Colorado Springs police have identified the man they say is responsible for stabbing someone late Thursday on S. Nevada Ave.

Police said an arrest warrant was obtained for 27-year-old Jimmy Lee Neill. He’s described as a white man standing 5’7″ and weighing 155 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. Police noted he had “obvious facial and neck tattoos.”

Police say he’s considered armed and dangerous, and citizens shouldn’t make contact with him.

CSPD responded to the stabbing around 11 p.m. Friday at Dorchester Park. Officers found a man with a stab wound and transported him to the hospital. The man is in critical condition.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Violent Crimes Section has also taken over the incident. The assault is an active criminal investigation.

CSPD asks people to stay vigilant and to report any suspicious activity in the area of East Las Vegas Street and South Nevada Avenue.
