Colorado Springs man arrested after running over wife with vehicle

Colorado Springs police say a man ran over his wife with a vehicle Monday afternoon and is now in custody.

It happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Mason Way, just west of the Colorado Springs Airport. ( MAP ) Officers found the woman being treated by medics, and she was taken to the hospital.

CSPD officers found out she had been run over by her estranged husband, Jose Soltero, according to a police report. It’s not clear what kind of vehicle he used.

Soltero was contacted and taken into custody for an assault charge. The case is under investigation by the CSPD Domestic Violence unit.
