Above-average temperatures – 08/25/18

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected this evening and overnight. Isolated showers and storms will be winding down. Most will be dry by early Sunday morning. Temperatures drop to the 50s and 60s overnight.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly sunny skies are on tap for the area Sunday. Most of us stay dry, but we have a slight chance for spotty storms — similar to the coverage and strength of the storms we’re tracking today. A few storms could become strong, but the chance for severe thunderstorms is at a low level. Highs will be WARM, reaching the 80s and 90s.

Extended: We stick with hot weather into Monday where temperatures continue to soar into the 90s with a few folks in the eastern plains close to touching the triple digits. Tuesday, a cold front moves through the state and this will drop temperatures by more than ten degrees. Most stay dry beginning Friday and continuing even into Labor Day weekend! There could be isolated showers here-and-there, but chances aren’t too good right now. We’ll keep you posted on the latest!
