Not as stormy today – 8/23/18

TODAY: We will see some areas of fog and lingering clouds through the first part of today. This will be followed by sunshine and much warmer highs in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Drier air will be making its way in this afternoon, which will limit shower and storm coverage this afternoon. By 2PM, things become active again, but most spotty shower and storm coverage should be out over the plains and far south near the Raton Mesa.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear tonight with lows in the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: Friday will be mostly dry with the exception of an isolated shower or storms. Better moisture moves in for the weekend, but shower and storm coverage shouldn’t be anything to wash out your plans. Dry skies will be in the area Monday through Wednesday, with hot temperatures in the 80s and 90s. Mountain cities will top off in the 70s.
