Isolated storms tonight – 08/18/18

Tonight: A few storms are possible overnight. There’s a very small risk of storms producing large hail and damaging gusts. For the most part, we’ll just see pockets of moderate-to-heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds where any storms develop. Overnight lows drop to the 40s and 50s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow: Northerly winds in southern Colorado Sunday will keep temperatures below-average. We only have a small chance for scattered storms tomorrow, and they shouldn’t become severe. Most just stay dry and breezy with gusts anywhere between 20-35 mph. Partly sunny skies are expected with highs in the 70s and 80s.

Extended: Dry weather is on tap for the area on Monday. Tuesday’s forecast is up in the air; there could be some isolated storms that become strong-to-severe, but models disagree about what to expect. Temperatures remain below-average the first few days of the work week but warm to above-normal levels in the end of the week. Active weather resumes in the latter part of the seven day forecast.
