Bear caught hanging out in Colorado Springs neighborhood

A bear was spotted relaxing in a tree near Cheyenne Mountain Saturday morning.

But it wasn’t long before Colorado Parks and Wildlife was working to get it down.

It’s not something you see everyday and Courtney Bartlett wasn’t expecting to wake up to find the bear right outside her window.

But this bear didn’t only catch her attention, Colorado Parks and Wildlife did too when they fired rubber bullets to scare him down.

Bartlett captured it all on her camera.

“It went on for a couple hours this morning. It was pretty entertaining and the bear was just hanging out having a good time,” she said.

The bear eventually climbed down and ran away, but Bartlett says she’ll now keep an eye out just in case he comes back.
