Rampart football team expects to be challenged in 2018

The Rampart football team has lofty goals this season, “We want to win a league title and practice on Thanksgiving,” says Rampart head coach Rob Royer.

The Rams have won back to back league titles and when the schedule comes out, teams are circling the Rampart game. “With a lot of the trash talk it seems to be coming a lot toward us. We definitely are a red circle game everyone is circling us. Just because we have grown and have gotten a lot better over the years,” says senior Colin Phillips, “It’s really nice to know that people are out to get us because it pushes us. It lights a fire under you know us to keep working not let anyone catch up,” says senior Jake Pavlica.

Rampart has been in the playoffs three out of the last four years and sure they haven’t gotten a taste of the playoff life, now they quench for more, “The first year we went to playoffs we lost in the first round, the next year we lost in the second round. We haven’t been happy with that. We want to make it to state, we all do. When that time comes we’ll grind it out and work together to try and come out with something special,” says Phillips.
