Severe weather possible – 08/07/18

Tonight: We’re tracking the potential for strong-to-severe storms across southern Colorado overnight. Some storms could linger in the southeastern plains after midnight; however, severe storms in the Pikes Peak region should move southeast by 12 a.m. Overnight lows drop to the 50s and 60s.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly sunny skies are on tap for Wednesday in the area. Tomorrow morning should be quiet, but thunderstorms are possible again in the afternoon and evening. There’s a small chance for strong-to-severe storms, but our certainty in the coverage and strength of these thunderstorms is lower compared to today and yesterday. Still…stay weather aware! Highs will range in the 80s for the lower elevations with the 70s for the mountains.

Extended: Conditions dry out relatively on Thursday. There could still be sparse storms, but they won’t be as intense or widespread as what we’ve experienced recently. Temperatures stay relatively consistent throughout your seven day forecast. It will be drier and quieter this upcoming weekend.
