Another day of storms – 7/27/18

TODAY: Some areas will be waking up to patchy fog this morning, so leave yourself some extra time getting out the door. That clears by the mid morning so we will be left with sunshine and a few clouds. Mountain storms develop around 12 or 1PM and will spread east through the afternoon like the last couple of days. A strong storm or two is possible in the Pikes Peak Region, but severe weather will mainly be contained to the far eastern plains. All modes of severe weather are possible. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s today.

TONIGHT: Storms wind down and we are left with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: We are in for an active weather weekend here in the southern half of the state. Strong to severe storms are possible both tomorrow and again on Sunday. By the time Monday arrives, less moisture will be present around the area, which means less shower and storm coverage. We will only see isolated activity through the middle of next week, so this means things get hot once again.
