Active weather pattern continues- 7/26/18

TODAY: It’s a weather alert day! We are in for an active weather evening, bringing scattered showers and storms to southern Colorado. There is the potential for some of these storms to become strong and possibly severe. The main threats from these storms will be large hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible, bringing an elevated concern for flash flooding, especially over burn scars. Temps will fall to below average, ranging in the 70s and 80s.

TONIGHT: Shower and storm activity will slowly dwindle out overnight, leaving partly cloudy skies. Temps will be a little cooler overnight, in the 50s and 60s.

EXTENDED: Rain chances decrease for Friday, although the active weather pattern will remain in place through the weekend. The best chance to see any showers or storms will be on Sunday. Temps will remain below average through Monday. Once our drier weather pattern begins, temps will climb back into the 90s for most of southern Colorado.
