Colorado Springs police arrest man for S. 8th Street killing
UPDATE: Colorado Springs police said Sunday that a 19-year-old man was arrested for first-degree murder in connection with the death Saturday morning on S. 8th Street.
Police say Cedric Jamal Jackson was arrested after a man was found dead in the road on S. 8th Street near Cheyenne Blvd.
Details of the killing still haven’t been made available, and police are still working to see if it’s connected to a rollover crash that happened nearby.
The victim still hasn’t been identified.

The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a shooting early Saturday morning on the Southwest side of the city.
It happened near Cheyenne Boulevard and S. 8th Street around 5 a.m.
Police tell us one person was shot multiple times and the victim later died at the hospital as a result of their injuries.
We’re told a car accident on Gold Camp Road is connected to this shooting, but the exact connection is unclear at this time.
One neighbor, Elaine Doudna, says she has her own theories of what may have happened.
“I’m wondering if it has anything to do with street racing because people are racing up and down Cheyenne Blvd.,” she said.
Police also tell us this will be a lengthy and complicated investigation due to the multiple scenes.
