Police investigate burglaries, stolen vehicles and shots fired in a Colorado Springs neighborhood

Police are looking for suspects after several attempted burglaries, stolen vehicles and shots fired in the neighborhood behind Pine Creek High School.

A victim woke up early Monday morning to his garage door opening. When he looked outside his home on Forest Creek Dr., he saw a suspect in a running vehicle. The man chased the vehicle but lost it and returned home.

On the way home, he saw more suspects burglarizing a home on Daydreamer Dr. He then chased two vehicles and tried to box them in and contact police. The suspects fired several shots at the victim which struck his vehicle causing him to stop chasing them.

An investigation later revealed a vehicle was stolen from the home on Daydreamer Dr.

Within the following hour, a few more homes experienced burglaries.

A home on Yellowtail Drive was broken into through the garage door. The residents in the home yelled at the suspects scaring them off.

Stetson Hills officers were called to Rainbow Gulch Trail for another burglary where a stolen vehicle was found in the roadway in front of the victim’s home. Another vehicle was stolen from the same house and has not been recovered.
