Bus driver suffers minor injuries after trying to pass under bridge near DIA

An RTD bus driver sustained minor injuries on Sunday after part of a bridge collapsed on top of the vehicle.

The driver of a Flatiron Flyer bus reportedly went the wrong way out of the transit center at Denver International Airport at around 6:19 a.m.

The bus apparently traveled down a road where larger vehicles aren’t supposed to drive through, a DIA spokesperson told KRDO’s news partners, Denver7.

The bus collided with the overpass, causing the partial collapse.

The incident is being investigated.
