2 arrested for illegal marijuana grow operation in Pueblo West

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office got a tip about an illegal marijuana grow operation at a Pueblo West home and ended up discovering more than 70 plants worth more than $200,000 inside.

Deputies went to the house in the 1100 block of Lilac Court and asked 29-year-old Arian Baez if he was growing marijuana. Baez said he had a license to grow the plants and invited deputies inside to view the grow operation.

Deputies found 72 marijuana plants inside — Colorado law now prohibits growing more than 12 plants per household.

Baez and his wife, 27-year-old Yuremi Alarcon-Figueroa, were arrested for possession with intent to distribute more than 50 pounds of marijuana and possession of more than 30 marijuana plants.
