Accused Waffle House shooter may have ties to Colorado

A man accused of opening fire at Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee may have ties in Colorado.

Police say Travis Reinking is responsible for fatally shooting two people outside the restaurant and then entering it and killing two more at about 3:30 a.m Sunday morning.

A call from our affiliates WKRN alerted us this morning, Reinking may have recently spent time in Salida. A quick search on the internet and his Facebook page showed he did, in fact, have some ties in Chafee County.

The Rocky Mountain Mail, a newspaper shows a questionnaire by a reporting intern who asked people, “what makes you happy?” A man who matches the photo to Travis Reinking answered, “True love. Just because it’s the best thing that can happen in life.”

Among his 23 Facebook friends, many of them show their employment at Rocky Mountain Crane Service Inc.

Reinking fled from the scene early this morning and police have not been able to catch up with him.

There is a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
