Few showers today, warmer later this week – 4/9/18

TODAY: Skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy today as a wave of energy passes through. This will continue to produce a few scattered rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Highs will be cooler today and will only top off in the 40s in our mountain cities. Lower elevations will be in the 50s. A reading or two around 60 is possible.

TONIGHT: We dry things out tonight and lows cool to the 20s and 30s. Cloud cover will also clear out.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow will be our prettiest day of the week. Highs will be in the low 70s under mostly sunny skies. The warmth increases through the second half of the week, but unfortunately, the winds do too. This will also ramp up the fire danger concerns. A few showers are possible in our mountain cities and higher terrain on Friday, but activity won’t be widespread.
