UPDATE: Missing 6-year-old from Grand Junction found safe

Grand Junction Police announced on their Facebook page the boy has been found safe.

Police said in the post D’mitri was found with a “new friend.”

“Mom of new friend saw our message on Facebook and notified law enforcement immediately that he was with her, and he was returned home and reunited with his mom,” Grand Junction Police said in the post. “Grateful for a happy ending.”

There is a search for a missing six-year-old boy who disappeared from Grand Junction.

The boy’s name is D’mitri. His last name has not been released.

The child was last seen in the area of the 2800-block of Texas Avenue in Grand Junction.

D’mitri was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt with an orange octopus logo and red and black shoes.

If you see D’mitri or have any information about his whereabouts, call police immediately.
