Monument police find gunman who robbed 7-Eleven

A 19-year-old Colorado Springs resident has been identified as the man who robbed a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint.

Police were lead to Devin Kearns after receiving several anonymous tips. Kearns had been arrested in Nebraska, on unrelated charges and was currently in the Chadron, Nebraska jail.

The Chadron Police Department confirmed that the person in the suspect photograph from the Monument 7-Eleven was Kearns.

Kearns is charged with robbing the 7-Eleven store on Hwy 105 near 3rd Street around 6 a.m. on March 27.

Kearns will be brought back to El Paso County to answer to charges of aggravated robbery, possession of weapons by previous offender and theft.
