Trump says DACA ‘Is Dead,’ demands Congress to act on border legislation

President Trump unleashed another round of tough talk on Twitter about illegal immigration, slamming Mexico and Democrats, and demanding that Congress pass border legislation.

Trump back on twitter attacking Democrats over failed proposals for DACA and border security. Writing about caravans of people traveling through Mexico, and how the Mexican government, “Must not allow them to pass through into our country.” Trump also calling Congress to act and use Nuclear Option if necessary.

He claimed ‘DACA is dead’ because of Democrats and, “…now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon.”

“The Democrats have really let them down and it is a shame. They have really let them down,” said President Trump.

Democrats previously offered a $25 billion plan for the border wall in exchange for a pathway to citizenship for DREAMers, but President Trump turned them down as the negotiation didn’t include changes to visas or cut family-chain immigration.

The tweet storm on DREAMers started on Easter Sunday following a Fox and Friends segment about a caravan of migrants from Central America.

The semi-annual protest march takes travelers to an official border entry where they seek political asylum.

Roughly an hour later, President Trump tweeting out: “…there will be no deal to renew DACA.”

The Trump Administration also threatened to pull out of a free trade agreement with Mexico, unless it does more to stop people from crossing into the U.S.
