Breezy day with showers later this week – 04/04/18

Today: Across southern Colorado, temperatures will rebound to the 60s and 70s after a crisp day Tuesday. We’ll have partly cloudy skies and dry conditions. For some in the high country and southeastern plains, we have elevated fire danger due to dry fuels, low humidity levels and strong gusts into the 30 mph zone. These start later this morning and continue until 8 p.m. Avoid outdoor burning! Elsewhere, winds won’t be as gusty, but even still – use caution!

Tonight: Lows drop to the 30s under mostly cloudy skies. Quiet weather is expected overnight.

Extended: Thursday, temperatures stay relatively warm with highs in the 60s for the I-25 corridor. Temperatures then drop drastically Friday due to an incoming cold front. Some showers are possible at the end of this work week as well, but impacts don’t look to be very high. Sunday offers our following chances for showers, but at this point in time – chances aren’t very good. Beyond that, we stay dry and breezy with varying temperatures.
