El Paso County deputy arrested for theft of more than $100K

An El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been arrested for felony theft. The Sheriff’s Office was notified of the arrest on Wednesday and placed Michael Christian on administrative leave without pay.

Court records show he is charged with theft between $100K to 1 million.

Christian has worked for the Sheriff’s Office since March 2008.
