A company based out of Louisville, Colo. recently did some work on the bridge that collapsed in Miami on Thursday, killing several people.

KDVR in Denver reports that BDI, a consulting and manufacturing firm, typically provides testing and monitoring services for bridges. A spokesperson for the company confirmed to BuzzFeed News that it was involved in the bridge in Miami.

BDI issued the following statement:

“We are deeply saddened to hear that the pedestrian bridge has collapsed at FIU. Our hearts go out to the individuals and families that have been affected by the collapse. We have removed comments from our social media accounts out of respect for the individuals and families that have been affected by the collapse.”

The collapse happened at around 1:30 p.m. EST, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Division Chief Paul Estopinan said in a news conference on Thursday afternoon. As of 5 p.m. EST, a minimum of eight vehicles were still trapped under the rubble.

ABC News reported that 10 injured victims, labeled as level-one trauma patients, were transported to an area hospital.
