Cloudier and cooler with a few showers – 02/28/18

Today: We’re tracking some changes! They won’t be dramatic by any stretch, but it won’t be quite as nice as the weather we got yesterday. Mostly cloudy skies will blanket southern Colorado. Temperatures cool to the 40s and 50s. Later this morning and into the evening, we have small chances for on-and-off rain and snow showers with little to no accumulations expected. Winds shouldn’t be a big deal; however, it could be a bit breezy.

Tonight: Lows drop to the teens and 20s under mostly clear skies. We can’t rule out some icy patches where we get some light snow showers today.

Extended: Increasing sunshine is anticipated for Thursday across the area. Temperatures stay relatively similar, and it will be slightly breezy. Winds increase in strength Friday and into this weekend. There could be powerful gusts during the overnight hours. These winds will elevate fire danger. On Sunday, we have a minor chance at seeing some showers, but there’s a lot of uncertainty regarding what to expect.
