Winter Returns Briefly Wednesday 2-27-18

TONIGHT: A quiet evening continues with mostly clear skies, lighter winds and temps dropping to the 20s.

TOMORROW: Cloud cover increases as a cold front sweeps in cooling those temperatures by about 15-20 degrees for your Wednesday. Highs make it to the 30s and 40s with some 50s over the Eastern Plains. Some scattered rain and snow showers arrive by late morning and continue through the evening hours. Some places could pick up some very light accumulations under those snow showers. A coating to a quick inch will be possible.

EXTENDED: Some areas look to experience some low clouds early Thursday before our next warming trend kicks in. Temps will be a little warmer Thursday afternoon as sunshine returns with highs in the 40s and 50s. Warmer and breezier conditions are then expected for Friday and Saturday with high fire danger again. Highs during this time climb to the 50s and 60s. Sunday looks to be a little colder as our next system moves in bringing the potential for some snow showers late into Monday.
