Morning snow with a windy weekend – 02/16/18

Today: We’re tracking light morning snow across southern Colorado! This snow is already winding down. Be prepared for dealing with slick roads. Hopefully we should get some sunshine after this fog in the Pikes Peak region clears. We’ll get a mixture of high clouds this afternoon. Depending on the cloud cover, we should get some melting of the snow this afternoon. Temperatures stay chilly, ranging in the 30s and 40s.

Tonight: It will be cold overnight! Lows drop to the teens and 20s. Some areas that didn’t get melting today could freeze over again.

Extended: It will be windy this weekend! It will be worthy of a wind alert level one Saturday (gusts in the 30-40 mph range), but we could be tracking a wind alert level two Sunday (gusts to 50-60 mph!). Gusts will stay strong on Monday with a passing cold front. This same front could create some rain and snow late Monday into Tuesday. Stick with us for the latest!
