Did the Air Force Academy mismanage sexual assault programs

The US Air Force was only in “partial compliance” with its sexual assault program during the 2017 academic year.

The Pentagon released an assessment Wednesday, saying the Air Fore mismanaged the victims response,

The Academy was also found to be out of compliance with military’s Victims Assistance Programs and advocacy policies.

According to the assessment, some allegations at the academy negatively impacted Victims Assistance.

The Pentagon didn’t give any details about the cases. They did report there were 112 sexual assault reports from service academes in the 2017 school year.

That’s up from 86 report from the previous year.
