Weather Alert Day on Monday – 1/14/18

TONIGHT: A cold front will be pushing into the area this evening. This will drag in cooler air from the north which will drop temperatures into the 20s. Freezing fog will also develop with a deck of low clouds tonight. Some places will be seeing light snow by the morning,

EXTENDED: Temperatures won’t be changing much into the daytime tomorrow. As the front pushes through, light snow continues which could make for some slick spots on the roads during the morning and evening commute. Untreated or shaded side streets in higher elevations could remain slick during the afternoon hours. Snow tapers off following sunset leaving some light accumulations. Up to 2″ is possible in spots, with near 3″ on Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain. Cold air slowly retreats through the work week and our highs get back to the 60s by Friday.
