One man has died in the hospital three days after a crash near La Junta.

The Colorado State Patrol says 29-year-old Thaddeus Horner of Greeley, died early Saturday morning. Police say he passed away at Parkview Hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a crash on Wednesday night.

Police say they were called to the incident on Colorado 109 late Wednesday night, approximately four miles north of La Junta.

Police say a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Horner went off the roadway on 109. The car then rolled several times and went airborne.

Police say the Cavalier was the only car involved in the crash.

Horner was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Pueblo where he died.

Alcohol and excessive speed are being investigated as contributing factors in the crash.

Horner was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
